Shangrong Feng

Shangrong Feng is currently pursuing a Master's degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the guidance of Australian concert pianist Prof. Stephanie McCallum. She is also the Artistic Director and jury of the Aegio International Piano Competition New Zealand region.

Shangrong has received piano education since the age of five from well-known pianists such as Russian concert pianist and educationist Yury Volkof and Ukraine concert pianist Alla Nazimok.

​

Shangrong has won several awards, including the first prize in the "Shenyang Section of China Imola International Piano Competition of the 1st Italy Imola Summer International Piano Music Festival" and the second prize winner in the IRMT Sonata competition.

​

Apart from her solo performances, Shangrong has also participated in various productions as an accompanist and orchestral pianist, such as the Wellington Opera production of La traviata and the screen production of NZSM Opera.

​

Shangrong's teaching style is patient and meticulous, with a unique understanding of music. She emphasizes basic training while also cultivating students' music appreciation and auditory skills. Her teaching objectives are clear and precise, helping students learn piano in a more scientific and efficient way while inspiring self-motivation in practicing.
