PEGGY HONG
Piano Teacher

Peggy Hong graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor of Music Studies), achieved a Diploma of Performance with the ABRSM. Peggy was awarded the 2nd prize in the Hong Kong & Shanghai Youth Pianist Competition in 2000. She is currently a piano accompanist of the Australian Chinese Community Choir .In Jan 2013, Peggy accompanied the ACC choir and performed at Opera House in Choral Art Festival. In July 2016, she performed with ACC choir in China music tour and won the first prize in the 4th International Choral Festival held at Erenhot, Inner Mongolia.
She has 19 years of piano teaching experience for both adults and children. Her friendly and encouraging teaching style is ideal for beginner students and graded exam students, inspires students to develop a lifelong love of music and learning. Since 2015, she has been passionately volunteering to teach retired seniors in keyboard class and achieving her dreams to contribute her skills to the community.
She has a passion for classical, romantic, jazz and contemporary popular genres. She provides an enjoyable and holistic musical learning and motivates students to develop strong musical and playing skills.
