NATHAN INKIRIWANG

Nathan has been studying the art of playing piano since he was 4 years old. He graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in pursuit of refining and training not only his technical skills but also his artistic musical skills. Prior to that, he studied on a full scholarship at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) under the tutelage of Mrs. Anna Sleptsova. Over the years, Nathan has received numerous awards and outstanding recognition from across Asia. Nathan received the top ABRSM Practical Exam marks (Indonesia) 6 years in a row for ABRSM grades 1,2,5,6,7 and 8. In addition to this, Nathan recently received an outstanding mark of 48/50 in his DipARSM, the top Diploma mark in Australia for the year 2019. 

 

Nathan continues to show a remarkable amount musical virtuosity and artistry in his playing. He has been invited to perform in many competitions and performances throughout his musical journey. Nathan received the platinum prize in the 5th International Singapore Music Festival in 2015 which was held by the National University of Singapore, received gold prize and was given a special award for outstanding performance in the ASEAN international music festival in Korea, received 1st place in the National Steinway and sons music competition in 2013, was given a scholarship award by the National University of Singapore and received honour to perform at the Award ceremony in Yeong Siew Toh Conservatory Hall, Singapore in 2016. 

 

Nathan also received a prestigious invitation to perform as a guest soloist at the Gala Concert of the 2nd International Festival of Classical Music in Kuala Lumpur in front of prime minister, Mahatir Mohamad in 2016, received two 1st prize awards and a special PATRON award at the 9th Malaysian Youth Music Festival in 2016, and has recently completed the Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy in Pomaz, Hungary under the guidance of world class pianists such that of Adam Gyorgy, Dr. Orsolya Szabo, Dr. Balazs Reti and Prof. Gyorgy Nador.

 

Music is a significant part and a key defying aspect of his life, and his desire to share not only his passion for music but also his knowledge, which encourages him to teach younger generations of musicians. Nathan has more than  three years of experience teaching both group and individual settings around Australia. He has a track record of students earning distinctions in their exams, and he is eager to help more students along their musical path.
