Darae Lee is a distinguished pianist, educator, and Registered Music Therapist (RMT) based in Sydney, Australia. She began her musical journey at Deokwon Arts High School in Seoul, South Korea, where she majored in piano, and went on to graduate with honors in piano from Sejong University, also in Seoul. Darae pursued her master’s degree in music therapy at Western Sydney University, supported by the Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship. During her studies, she appeared on the Dean’s Merit List for her outstanding academic performance and graduated with Distinction. Her exceptional talent and dedication to music have earned her numerous scholarships and awards throughout her academic career, reflecting both her achievements and her passion for the art.
Darae is also a certified secondary school music teacher in South Korea and has shared her expertise with students in diverse international settings. She previously served as a professor at the Conservatory of Music in Fez, Morocco, where she not only taught but also acted as a judge for piano competitions, further enhancing her reputation within the global music community.
Darae has over 10 years of experience in private piano teaching, working with learners of diverse ages and backgrounds. Through a detailed, thorough and structured approach, she supports students in achieving their individual goals, from playing for personal enjoyment to preparing for graded examinations.
