Lilija is an accredited singing teacher with more than 25 years of experience. She specializes in the Classical and Musical Theatre styles as well as teaching Contemporary styles of singing from beginners to advanced students.
Since 2005, Lilija has been teaching Bachelor, Open and Young AIM students at the Australian Institute of Music, and teaching from 2001 at the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music where she was Head of the Vocal Department for 5 years. Lilija also runs her own studio at Watanobbi.
Lilija Sile is currently Opera Producer for the Central Coast Conservatorium Vocal Department. She has produced 4 operas for students and community singers. These operas include Amahl and the Night Visitors, Brundibar, Seeds of the Soul (composed by Central Coast composer Phil Rutherford) and Help, Help, the Globolinks. Lilija is currently working on the production of The Magic Flute by Mozart which will be performed in April 2016. Lilija is a member of the Music Teachers' Association of NSW (MTA) and the Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing (ANATS).
Lilija has performed in all major cities of Australia (soloist with the "Sydney University Graduates Choir" conducted by Christopher Bowen) and made a CD recording of "Christmas Oratorio" by Saint-Saens (soprano solo). Lilija has recorded 12 Chopin Songs as well as nine 30 minute concerts that have been broadcast on classical radio 2MBS-FM. She was also a soloist of TV series (recorded also on disc) "Australians at War" with the music composed by Roger Mason.
